December 9, 1931 - June 25, 2024

Peter was born December 9, 1931 in Kilmarnock, Scotland to George and Elizabeth McCall. He moved with his family to Chilliwack in 1974 to start a new chapter in his life. He was a bricklayer by trade and did many projects around town.

He loved cycling and walking, and even in his 80's would jump on his bike and go for a 50 km ride and walk 10 km every day. He had fond memories of bike racing in Scotland and enjoyed working on bikes.

He always enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, especially soccer; he rarely missed a game.

Peter was a member of AA and was a great example of "It's never too late to turn your life around".\

Peter will be missed by his partner of over 40 years, Shirley, who stuck with him through good and bad.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Elizabeth, and his brother John and wife, Sybil.

Peter will be remembered by his five children George (Mary), Fred (Holly), Sarah (Darin), Liz (Stewart) and Pete (Tara); 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his brother George (Nancy) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to every single person at Heritage Village, they are all amazing, and to the staff of Characters restaurant for looking after Dad on his Saturday morning breakfasts.

At Peter's request, there will be no funeral. His family will gather to scatter his ashes.

"But pleasures are like poppies spread,

You seize the flower, its bloom is shed;

Or like the snow falls in the river,

A moment white—then melts forever."

Robert Burns
