Peter Harder, July 28, 2003 at Chilliwack, BC at the age of 85 years. He was born Jan. 8, 1918 at Rhineland, MB. Peter is survived by seven children: David (Kathy) Harder of Grand Prairie, AB, Sara Miller of Cawston, BC, Peter (Jean) Harder of Chilliwack, BC, Nettie Massong of Kelowna, BC, Tina Harder of Chilliwack, BC, Elaine Rogoza of Surrey, BC, Geraldine Harder of Aldergrove, BC; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother of Mexico; and many nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Agneta in 1998, brothers, sisters, parents, and two great-grandchildren. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Aug. 2, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. at Rosedale Pentecostal Holiness Church, 51461 Yale Rd. E., Rosedale, BC. Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Chilliwack Cemetery, Hillcrest Dr., Chilliwack, BC. Pallbearers are Nick Massong, Rick Procure, Paul Holmes, Mike Burgess, Grant Mercer, and James Burgess. Honourary pallbearers are Tim Miller, Don Procure and Glen Holmes. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Peter was raised from a baby, married and had three children in Mexico. He moved to Canada in 1954. He became a farmer and labourer, worked at Homer Restaurant in Chilliwack for 15 years before retiring in 1983. The most important thing in Peter’s life was his family.
