Peter DYCK

Peter Dyck, late of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away April 5, 2006 at the age of 83 years. He was born April 3, 1923 in Haldstadt, Manitoba.

Peter was one of 11 children. At the age of 16 he served in World War II from 1939 to 1945 with P.P.C.L.I. Division #1. He lived in Winnipeg and moved to Chilliwack in 1966. He worked for D.N.D. Civil Service at C.F.B. Chilliwack. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, Senior Vets Society, Federal Super Annuits, was an avid outdoorsman, in particular hunting.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Allan Harder officiating. Cremation, Henderson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium.

Peter is survived by his wife, Lorna; daughter, Carol Dyck of Tyler, Texas; son, Ross Dyck (Carole Lefebvre) of Edmonton, Alta; grandchildren: Keith, Tyler and Stacey Dyck; son, Don (Joanne) Dyck of Chilliwack; grandchildren, Tiffany, Jennifer and Jacob; brother, John (Ruby) Dyck of Winnipeg; several nieces and nephews.

Should family and friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
