Peter C. Penner passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009 after a brief stay at Menno Hospital, Abbotsford. He was born on June 11, 1908 in Lustigstal, Crimea.
In the fall of 1929 he and his wife Agnes left Russia with their infant son Peter. After some years in Morden, Manitoba they moved to Chilliwack and years later to Arnold.
He began his many years as a minister there which led him to serve in Oliver for 4 years, Germany and Austria for 1 year each, back to Arnold and then to his last pastorate at the King Road Church in Clearbrook.
He was predeceased by his son Ben, his granddaughter Lisa, and his wife Agnes. He leaves to mourn his wife Margaret, 8 children and their spouses, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be from 6 – 8 o’clock at Woodlawn Funeral home in Clearbrook. The funeral service will be held at the King Road Church in Clearbrook Monday, October 19th, at 10:00 o’clock a.m.
