It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Peter Barry Holosney on January 10, 2020 at Cascade Hospice Chilliwack BC at the age of 54 with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with leukemia. He will be sadly missed by his mother Victoria, sister Lynn, brothers William, Richard (Wendy) and Bob (Angela), niece Janette (Mike), great nephew Austin, and nephews Jared & Justin. Many thanks to Sharon, Ruby, Rose, Courtney & Holly for all their care & support. Thank you also to Dr. R. Smith, staff at VGH, Chilliwack Hospital 5th floor and Cascade Hospice. Predeceased by his father Edward, nephew Michael, his grandparents, and aunts & uncles. Peter was born in Barrhead AB and spent his early years in Alberta until the family moved to Chilliwack in
1977. Peter was a gentle quiet soul with enormous strength & courage. He loved the outdoors, painting, art class, all animals, and his job at Cottonwood Mall. During all of his treatments in hospital and out, he captured the hearts of the staff. He never complained, he was extremely courageous and loved life. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at St. Mary's Parish, 8909 Mary St., Chilliwack, BC. Father Mark officiating.
