Percy Thomas Chapman passed away on Wednesday, Mar. 10, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 80 years. He was born August 8, 1923.
Percy is survived by Edith, his wife of 55 years; daughter, Wendy Fisher; grandchildren, Tenille and Scott.
His parents, Amy and Charlie Chapman and his brothers, Roy and Jack Chapman, predeceased him.
Percy was a well known auctioneer in the Fraser Valley and co owner of Chapman Auctioneers for more than 25 years, and continued to auction for charities until recently. Percy was also a very active, long time member of the Sardis Fire Department, Carman United Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Masonic Lodge and the Chilliwack Curling Club.
A Celebration of Life service was held Monday, Mar. 15, 2004 at the Masonic Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Percy’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
