On May 12, 2008, Pauline Ann Cebuliak, of Eastend, SK, passed into the presence of her Lord. Pauline was born July 10, 1926, at Star City, SK. She was the fourth child of 12 to be born to Mike and Ann Tkachuk, immigrants from the Ukraine.
Pauline married Frederick Derbowka on November 29, 1948, farming together in the Ellerslie district, then moving to B.C. in the mid-1950’s, first to Prince George, then Williams Lake and finally settling in Chilliwack. Pauline moved to Eastend six years ago in 2002 and passed away at Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
Pauline was predeceased by her first husband, Fred, in 1975, her second husband, Andy Cebuliak, in 1993, and her son, George, in 2005.
She is survived by her three children: Stella Skibinsky (Dale Drummond), Marilyn Elhard (Wayne) and Dave Derbowka; her grandchildren, Rose Skibinsky (Jon Severs), Jonathan Elhard (Denise), Brooklyn Elhard, Robert Derbowka (Midori), Jodi Defries (Joel), Joseph Derbowka and Jesse Derbowka, and great grandchildren; Ashton and Cheyenne Severs, Aimee and Jachin Elhard and Malachi, Judah and Elijah Defries.
A Memorial Service was held on May 17, 2008 at Faith Christian Fellowship Church in Eastend.
Interment of her ashes will take place at a later date in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan was in charge of the arrangements (www.Binkleys.com).
