Schimmelmann, Paul


Paul Schimmelmann passed away peacefully Friday, January 3, 2014 at the age of 98. Paul was born in Germany and lived in Austria after the war. Paul immigrated to Regina, SK from Austria with his wife and two children in 1954 where he was employed for 25 years at the Co-op Creamery. He moved with his wife to Chilliwack, BC in 1994.

Paul was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Anna in 2003. Survived by his two children Renate (Lloyd) of Burnaby, BC, and Paul Jr. (Gayle) of Kelowna, BC; three grandchildren Curtis (Michelle) of Regina, SK, Ryan (Shannan) of Fort McMurray, AB, Alyson (Steven) of Edmonton, AB; six great grand children.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilliwack, BC, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11:00 am.

A special thank you to his many caring and thoughtful friends from Rosewood Gardens. The family would also like to thank Dr. S. A. Bartel and Dr. B. Dueck along with their staff for the wonderful care that was extended to their father, Paul. Paul was a very dedicated, kind hearted, and generous father, and an extremely proud grandfather, and great grandfather. His memory will be cherished by all those whose lives he touched.
