Patrick "Pat" Strong passed away peacefully on April 19, 2020 at the age of 82 years. He was preceded by his beloved Doreen "Doe" Strong, fifty days earlier on February 29, 2020.
Pat and Doe are together now, and for that we are grateful and at peace. Pat died as he lived, quietly, humbly and with great faith. Pat was born and raised in Calgary and graduated from St. Mary's Boys School in 1956. He and his family were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He spent many years in the Oil and Gas Industry in Calgary. Pat married Doe in 1960 and they were inseparable for almost sixty years. They lived most of their lives in Calgary, where they were members of St. Luke's and St. Peter's churches. Pat and Doe moved to Chilliwack, BC, in the late nineties where they remained until their passing. Pat loved a good joke, a good cup of coffee, all things Irish, and anything to do with trains.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family, Evan, Angela, Charmaine, Sullivan and Camille, as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilliwack, BC. Pat and Doe will be buried in Calgary, which they always considered their home. The family express their sincere thanks to the Bradley Centre in Chilliwack, BC for their care and comfort of both Pat and Doe. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church at a later date when current restrictions are lifted.
