Patricia Peberdy "Pat" Hutchinson (nee Sillman)

March 12, 1930 - June 28, 2019
We sadly announce that Pat died at the Bradley Centre on June 28, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Agatha Sillman, and by her siblings Stella, Jim, Bob and Tony.
Pat will be lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 63 years, Ian, and her children Bruce (Janet), Cathy and Dianne (Norm). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren and step- grandchildren Heather (Evan), Evan (Cassandra), Neala, William, Alexandra (Shane), Mathew and Austin (Stephanie).Pat is survived also by her great -grandchildren and step great -grandchildren Sophie, Simon, Violette, Riley, Jonas, Eden, Arlo, Maeve, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Born in Swansea, Wales, Pat trained as a nurse and mid-wife in Southampton, England. Her sense of adventure took her to Canada in 1953 where she worked as a nurse in Ontario, Alberta and Alert Bay , BC where she met Ian in 1955. Married in the chapel of Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver on November 17, 1956, they enjoyed life in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Copenhagen, Ottawa and London before returning to Chilliwack in 1974.
Pat loved her family and friends, her beloved dog Daisy and being in her garden. Her table was always full of food to welcome family and friends, and she was a dedicated homemaker.
Dementia may have taken much of Pat's memory, but she remembered her family and knew she was dearly loved.
We deeply appreciate the wonderful care provided by Dr Low and the staff of the Bradley Centre.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday July 20 at 11 am at St Thomas Anglican Church, 46048 Gore Ave, Chilliwack BC.
