Patricia (Pat) Clark

Patricia (Pat) Clark, late of Chilliwack, BC, passed away Oct. 2, 2005 in Valleyhaven at the age of 88 years. Patricia was born January 21, 1917 in Russia. She had lived in the area for 25 years.

Pat came to Canada with her family in 1922 and settled in Carmen, Manitoba. She moved to BC in 1936 and met George Clark in Chilliwack in 1939. They were married on March 3, 1940.

Pat and George lived in several places around BC, including Hope, Alberni and Quesnel. Later they moved to MacKenzie until they retired to Chilliwack in 1980. Pat did a lot of volunteer work in these years. She was active in many organizations such as the Canadian Arthritis & Rheumatism Society, and the Borealis Society for Mentally Challenged Children.

She joined Jewel Rebekah Lodge in Hope in 1953 and became President of the Rebekah Assembly of BC in 1977. She worked very hard for the Lodge and held many offices over the 50 years that she was active with them.

Pat is survived by two sons: Fred (Pat) of Unionville, ON, and Ted of Victoria; two daughters: Marliss (Gordon) Perry of Quesnel, and Dianne (Rich) Dillabough of Big Creek, BC; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Henry (Margaret) Suderman of Chilliwack.

She was predeceased by her husband, George, in 1989, and daughter, Darla Anne, in 1941.

A memorial will be held Friday., Oct. 7, 2005 at the IOOF Hall at 46008 Reece Ave. Ruth Rebekah Lodge #4 officiating. Cremation at Henderson’s.
