It is with profound sadness I must announce the passing of my mother Pam Smith on Sept. 29, 2004 in Chilliwack, B.C.
She was born in Norway as Ingrid, and at five years old, she came to Canada alone by boat and train to Provost, Alberta to be raised by Henry and Gunhild Paulgaard.
That was the first of many challenges she went to face in her life. The last was passing her 80th birthday.
She was predeceased by my dad, her husband of 40 years, Ernest George Smith, in 1997.
They will be buried together in Provost, Alberta.
Both are greatly missed by daughter Carolyn; son-in-law, Tom; and Pam’s most long-awaited desire, her grandson, Daniel.
