Osborne Watkin WILLIAMS

Osborne Williams passed away peacefully on September 18, 2012 at Chilliwack at the age of 90 years. He was born April 28, 1922 in Vancouver BC.

Oz’s first job was working on steamships plying the coasts, Vancouver to the Queen Charlottes. Serving in WWII, 1939-1945, he was first in the Army, then the Airforce. He then sailed the southern seas on freighters as a cook and checker/assistant of supercargo.

Oz sold real estate in Vancouver for a few years in the 1960’s.

He married the love of his life, Marion Adkins in 1966. For several years Oz was employed by Rayonier of Canada (Western Forest Products) and was responsible for selection/placement of the freight for the deep sea ships.

Retiring in 1981, he continued to enjoy his interest in golfing, curling, and gardening. He loved to ride his horse and walk his dog.

For the past several years Oz and Marion settled in Chilliwack, and attended Chilliwack Baptist Church.

Always a special place in his heart was his wife Marion, his family, and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Marc MacKenzie and each one who have cared for Oz during his illness.
