August 14, 1942 – May 13, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Normand. He died at Chilliwack General Hospital in his 70th year after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born August 14, 1942 to Marcel and Germaine (nee Demers) and spent the early part of his life in Montréal, Québec.

Normand is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Louise Dorris, his daughter Caroline (Bert) Odegard and his two grandchildren Stéphanie and Marc-André, all residents of Chilliwack. He is also survived by his siblings Denys, Lise and Andrée St-Denis of Québec.

Norm graduated from Les Hautes Études Commercial (HEC) of Montréal as a professional accountant, but his passion was always sales. He was dedicated to providing excellent customer service in all of his many endeavours. He was also passionate about gardening, which he continued to enjoy right up to the end. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Normand’s life will be held at the Chilliwack Best Western Inn on May 26th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Normand’s name would be greatly appreciated.
