Norman CAULFIELD

May 9, 2006

After a brief illness, Norman passed away on May 9, 2006 surrounded by his loving family at the Chilliwack General Hospital.

Norman was born on January 29, 1930 at the Grace Hospital in Vancouver and was the eldest of seven children. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Caulfield, brother, Robert Caulfield and sister, Nancy Mayes. Norman is survived by his siblings Maxine Booker, David Caulfield, Alan Caulfield and Bonnie Gray.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Peggy, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. He is much loved and fondly remembered by his four sons and nine grandchildren; Stephen (Anne), children; Rachel, Bruce and Mark; John (Linda), children; Christina and Patricia; Glenn (Bonnie), children; Andrea and Sarah; and David (Carol Anne), children; Kelly Anne and Andrew.

Norman served 37 years in the RCAF at numerous bases throughout Canada and included two tours in Europe. After retiring, he helped establish the CD 2 Club in Chilliwack and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4 and ASU. In retirement he enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening and traveling.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 13th, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. Chilliwack. Viewing at 1:00 pm.

Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
