Norman BROWN

October 19, 2003

Norman Brown passed away peacefully October 19, 2003 in Chilliwack General Hospital. Norman was born on July 31, 1916 in Pilot Butte, Sask.

He is survived by his brother Victor and wife Stella of Chilliwack; his nieces and nephews, Shelly and Danny Mallari of Chilliwack, and Dorothy and Bill Sturgeon of Burns Lake; and his step-son Jim Satterthwaite of Vancouver.

Norman was predeceased by his wife Isabel; his brothers, Stan, Alfred and Tom; and his sisters, Pat and Sheila.

Norman spent most of his life in the Chilliwack area, and especially the city of Chilliwack. In many motorhome trips throughout North America, Norman and Isabel acquired the large number of antiques that made them famous among friends and family alike.

Norman was a renowned gardener, and throughout his life remained avidly interested in all things local, provincial and national. In one of his last spirited conversations with Jim the day before his death he was still expressing his firm interests in the possible unification of the conservative Right in Canada.

Norman will be deeply missed by his family and his many Chilliwack friends.

The family would like to thank the Chilliwack General Hospital staff and especially the nurses on the 4th Floor East for their care and attention.
