Wilson, Norma Rebecca Theodora
It is with sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Norma Rebecca Theodora Wilson of Sardis, British Columbia on September 5, 2014 at Chilliwack General Hospital after a sudden illness. Born on October 4, 1928 in Shelbrook, Saskatchewan, Norma moved with her parents William and Clara Silverthorne to Aldergrove, BC in 1932.
Norma was a long time employee of Fraser Valley Broadcasters. Throughout her life, Norma loved to travel. She was a longtime member of the Probus Club of Chilliwack and enjoyed weekly games with the Probus Bridge Club.
Norma is survived by granddaughter Tanya Schultz (Wilson), wife to Jeremy Schultz of Toronto, and grandson Jeffrey Wilson of Sardis. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, George Alexander Wilson in 1992 and son, George Allan (Al) Wilson in 2013, as well as brothers Orville, Wilbert and Lorne Silverthorne, and sister Thelma Stevenson. Norma will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and the many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends she leaves behind. No service by request of the departed.
