Norma Eilleen Coxall passed away on May 23rd, 2010 at the age of 73. She was born on October 9th, 1936 to Edward and Nathalie Stadler in Edmonton, Alberta.

Beloved mother of Brian, Christine and husband Ted, Karen and husband Rob, Catherin and fiancé Blair, and Jamie.

Cherished grandmother of Alysha, Bradley, Tao and Nicholai. Loving sister of Glen Stadler and wife Deanna, and their family. She was a loving aunt, great-aunt, and great-great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Norma was an avid gardener and was a member of the Gwynne Vaughan Park Society for many years.

She was a member of the Monday Painters Group in Agassiz.

The annual West Coast excursions with the “Wild Ones” were the highlight of her year. They were a special group of her childhood friends from where she grew up in Ocean Falls.

Her parents instilled a love for spending time on the shores of the Fraser River that became a favourite family outing that usually ended with Norma coming home with a pocket full of rocks and agates to add to her collection.

Many people in Chilliwack and Sardis knew Norma as a long term employee of the TD Bank in Southgate and Cottonwood.

The Gwynne Vaughan Park Society will be hosting a tea in Norma’s honour on Sunday, May 30th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Gwynne Vaughan Park, Hope River Road at Williams, in Chilliwack.

In lieu of flowers Norma has requested donations to the Cascades Hospice in Chilliwack. There will be no service at Norma’s request.

THE SOUVENIR

On a wave swept, west coast beach

I hold in my hand

A shell,

A piece of wood

Polished by sand and sea.

A souvenir

Of time spent with family and friends

Upon my most favourite place,

The beach.
