Norma Patricia Cantlon passed away peacefully on January 22, 2017 at Cascade Lodge in Chilliwack at the age of 93. She was born on May 9, 1923 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Selkirk, Manitoba. Pat leaves behind her son Jim (Carol), grandchildren, Seth (Christy), Angie (Kevin), and Brad and great grandchildren Lexi, Jake, Mya, Max, Cody, Taite and Ryder and dear friends Linda Kilsby and Rosemary Tingley. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Art, her mother, Jean, her father, William her sisters, Connie and Marge, and her brothers Bob and Johnny. She was cared for with much compassion by the staff at Cascade Lodge. She had a number of adventures in her life, travelling up the Nahanni River by boat to the Headless Valley in Northern B.C. in a time when very few women dared to. She travelled back and forth across Canada with her husband during his army career, then spent two years in Labrador before heading off to Liberia, Africa for ten years and finally settled in Chilliwack in the late 1980’s. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star. She will be missed, but she is now with Art, whom she was lost without. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Bozzini’s Restaurant in Chilliwack, BC.
