November 13, 1924 - November 19, 2018
Nina passed away peacefully November 19, 2018 at Eden Care Center in Chilliwack BC.

She was predeceased by her father, Gustav Rempel, mother Olga, sister Margaret and brother Vladimir. Nina is survived by her husband Ron, son Walter, and daughter in law Donna, (Cassi and Braedyn).

Nina was born in Berdyansk, Ukraine, and located to Chilliwack with her Mother as a refugee in 1948. She worked as a nanny before moving to Vancouver where she was employed at a grocery store, and later a transport company. It was while she was in Vancouver that she joined the Oakridge Baptist Church where she was baptized.

She returned to Chilliwack and was employed at Hipwell's Drugstore in Vedder Crossing, then in the late 50's secured a position at Camp Chilliwack (later known as Canadian Forces Base Chilliwack) where she retired after 30 some years as Supervisor of the Technical Library. Nina enjoyed cooking and baking, and it was an uphill battle for her to keep the cookie jar full with Ron, Walter and Olga in the house. She spent many hours working with needlepoint. On many Sundays after church, Nina and Ron would rush oE to hear the Vancouver Symphony, eating sandwiches as they drove. She was an avid reader of the classics, and enjoyed studying the Bible.

Nina will be sorely missed by her family who were truly blessed to have had such a loving Mother and Wife. A special thank you to the staE at Eden Care Center for their wonderful care of Nina. No service by request.
