Glasmann; Nancy (Rodewalt). It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy Glasmann announces her passing on October 16th, 2013 after a short battle with cancer less than two weeks after her 59th birthday. She was born on October 5, 1954 in Edmonton, Alberta the youngest in a family of 3 children to Van and Rose Rodewalt. Nancy had a very unique childhood due to the fact that her father was a rancher who specialized in breeding high quality horses including Thoroughbreds, Arabians and Appaloosas. She and her older siblings Vance and Darcy Lea learned to ride horseback at a very young age and spent many happy days at "the ranch." She graduated from Victoria Composite High School, Edmonton in 1972. The following year she attended the Museum Art School in Portland to study Graphic Design.

Nancy married in 1977 and was blessed by the birth of her son Kelly a year later. A native of Alberta, she moved to Chilliwack in 1980 in order to be closer to her parents who had retired here. After the death of her mother in 1992 she resolved to take care of her beloved father, which she did lovingly until his death in 2012. She was a loving mother and grand-mother, a very skilled artist who loved to sketch and paint in oils and watercolors. She loved animals, especially cats and horses. Nancy went back to college at the age of 50 to become a Community Support Worker and graduated with honors in 2007. She enjoyed her career as a caregiver, until July 2013 when health problems forced her into early retirement. She is pre-deceased by her father, Van, and her mother, Rose. She very much enjoyed her family and is survived by sister Darcy (Jim), brother Vance (Susan), ex-husband Peter, son Kelly (Karina) and grand-daughter Kezaira. No service by deceased's

request.
