Myrtle EVANS

Myrtle Evans passed away quietly in her sleep in Chilliwack on May 14, 2006 at the age of 89 years. She was born in Neapolis, Alberta in 1916.

Myrtle was raised in the Kooteney area of B.C. and spent most of her life in the Fraser Valley.

She worked for a number of years at the Royal City Cannery and Fraser Vale Foods in Chilliwack.

Myrtle is survived by her sons; Bernard “Ben” Tolley of Ottawa and Gordon Tolley of Kingston, Ontario and a sister Elsie Neal of Nelson, B.C.

She was predeceased by her three husbands; Raymond Bert Tolley, Nels Heede-Sorensen and Bud Evans and her sister Edna Richards of Vancouver and brother Clarence Johnston of Powell River, B.C..

A service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 1:00 pm from Henderson’s Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Pentland officiating. Donations may be made to the B.C. Heart and Stroke Foundation.
