Myles Taylor Hiscock passed away unexpectedly and suddenly at home on January 21, 2008. He was born October 29, 1948 in Montreal.

He is survived by his loving wife Marina; mother Eunice; children: Byron, Hilary, and Julie; stepchildren: Rachel (Tony), David (Debbie), Brad (Lucy), Bonnie (Ryan), and Adam; grandchildren: Rylan, Ailish, Lewis, Anna, Ryan, Bradley, Ben, and Sophie; brothers, Greg and Gary; sister: Susan; nephew Justin; and nieces Stephanie, Sherri, Ben, and baby Eliane.

Myles was predeceased by his father Bob Hiscock and his sister Hilary Hiscock.

Myles joined the Navy after leaving high school in Montreal. He served for 23 years and enjoyed his time in the military. He traveled to many places including the Middle East and two years in Bermuda. He made many long lasting friendships.

His last posting was Chilliwack and he decided to settle his family here.

After Myles retired from the military, he joined Corrections Canada. First at Kent Institute, followed by Mission then Ferndale, where he was still employed at the time he died so suddenly.

Myles made so many friends in the Military and Corrections. Too many to mention personally, but you know who you are.

God broke the mold when he made you Myles. Myles was much loved and highly respected by all who knew him. Myles was also a much-loved foster parent. He touched so many lives and enriched them. He will be missed by many.

Thank you to all our family and friends who have showered us with help, respect, flowers, gifts, and condolences. Special thanks to Dave and Judy, without them we would be lost.

Thanks to all the paramedics, police and other professionals who tried their best but God had decided Myles’ work here was done and called him home.

Rest in peace Myles, you earned it. You were taken too soon. We were not ready to lose you. We love you Myles, Poppa’s, Dad, Papa. I will love you and miss you forever my H.C.W.

On February 2, 2008 at 1:00 pm, Marina Hiscock will have an Open House at her home, 45695 Henderson Ave, Chilliwack.
