Mildred passed away on July 5th, 2009 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 77 years. She was born in Shergrove, Manitoba on September 7th, 1931. Mildred is survived by husband Alex, son Edmond, grandsons Adam and David. Predeceased by her father and mother, Edmond and Florence Lepla.
Mildred came to Chilliwack in 1963 from the Harrison, Agassiz area. Previous to that she lived in Mission and New Westminster, B.C. and originally from St. Rose du lac Manitoba coming to B.C. in the mid 1950’s. Mildred worked at Sweet Sixteen ladies’ wear for 26 years, first downtown and then at the Cottonwood Mall. Mildred helped her husband, Alex run Bargain House Antiques on Williams Road, Fairfield Island for 42 years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Chilliwack Opportunity Society, 10135 Williams Road, Chilliwack.
