Merril Leslie Prest late of Chilliwack, BC, passed away March 29, 2007 in Chilliwack, BC, age 78. Merril was born on December 11, 1928 in Chilliwack, BC. Merril had lived in this area for 78 years.
Merril was the owner of the Sportsman Barber Shop for forty years. He enjoyed fishing, reading, storytelling and the Vancouver Canucks hockey team.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
Merril is survived by his wife Carolyn Prest, son Don Prest, daughters Janis (Dennis) Blackall and Lori Prest, Sister Annabelle Cook, granddaughters Nicole, Haley, Alexa and Chelsea. Merril was predeceased by his father and mother, Richard and Gladys Prest and brothers Richard and Wallace Prest.
