It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Melvin John Schulz in Abbotsford Regional Hospital at the age of 68. He was surrounded by family and friends in his last days. Mel was born and lived his whole life in Chilliwack, BC among the farming community. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mavis, of 48 years; his children, Trevor (Carita) Schulz, Taryn (Ryan) Vandepol, Tennille (Barry) Ault, Tyler (Cheryl) Schulz and Rebecca (Jon) Holmes; his grandchildren, Brendan, Chalissa and Annika Schulz, Cortney, Ian, Bronwyn, Connor and Meadow Vandepol, Natalie, Jillian and Lauren Schulz and Hazel and Violet Holmes. He is predeceased by his father, David Schulz, and survived by his mother, Elizabeth Schulz and his siblings Ron (Lois) Schulz, Janice (Ken) Braun, Stan (Marilyn) Schulz and Bev (Bob) Kroeker.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital for their wonderful care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Central Community Church at 1:30pm - 46100 Chilliwack Central Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children's Haven International or to the BC Kidney Foundation.
