Mavis Malanchuk left us peacefully on July 1, 2012 in Chilliwack, BC. She was born June 30, 1953 in Chilliwack where she lived most of her life except for a seven year period where she lived in Lloydminster, AB. She is survived by her loving husband, Verne; her three daughters, Heidi Hill (Andrew), Desiree Martens (Steve), and Taylor Malanchuk (Brandon Moon); along with her beloved grandchildren Saje, Jonas, Aja, Nova, Austin, and Ava; her sisters, Joy Fairclough, and Shelley Brocklehurst; her step-father, Bruce Davis; and her numerous nieces and nephews. She now joins her father, Pete Brown; her mother, Margaret Davis; and her brother, Doug Brown, in the Almighty Heavens.
Mavis dedicated her life to her family and was always offering her help to others. She enjoyed gardening and entertaining and especially loved gatherings with family and friends. She was very creative and always found a way to give things that special touch. Her beauty ran deep below the surface.
