Maurice Victor "Moe" Smith

August 18, 2018

April 27, 1936 - August 18, 2018
Moe passed peacefully at the age of 82. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, son Grant (Jane), daughter Stacey (Les), sister Maurine and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and grew up in Humbolt, Saskatchewan and later Three Hills, Alberta. His family then moved to Victoria where he attended high school. Moe was an enterprising businessman.

He was the long- time owner of the Chevron station at the Hope/Princeton highway junction and well respected in the Hope community. He was an avid curler, golfer, triple A baseball player and had a serious interest in flying, having a pilot's license and a joint ownership of an aircraft.

The family will cherish memories of fishing trips and vacations together. He is very much loved by his family and will be sadly missed. A private, family only memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please donate to the charity of your choice.
