Survived by her loving husband Victor Kalyn; her children Rick, Valerie, Ron, Gordon, Rhonda and Kimberly; her many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her younger sister Florence Hawker. Predeceased by her parents George and Bernice Hawker and her older sister Marilyn Hawker of Vanderhoof, B.C.
Raised in Vanderhoof, where she established lifelong friendships, she later grew roots in many communities around the province. Maureen was magnetic. After a lifelong search she found her gentleman to love, Victor Kalyn of Chilliwack. Maureen shared her dedication of 35 years sobriety in A.A. with newcomers to the program, One Day At A Time.
A passionate road traveller, she taught her family a deep appreciation of the beauty in nature.
A Mother who truly loved her children and her many grandchildren – Grandma MoMo loved her “kids”. She was proud of her family and we will be eternally grateful to her – thank you Mother. We love you Grandma MoMo.

A Celebration of Maureen’s Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 21st at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 46048 Gore Ave., Chilliwack BC.
