It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Matthew David Hubner on January 28, 2018, at the age of 24.
Matthew will be deeply missed by his parents Alfred Hubner and his mom's, Kim Hubner and Trish Doyle, his sister Alison Doyle, his grandpa Dave Kochan, his Oma Hulda Hubner, Aunt Colleen Kochan, Uncle Harry (Karen) Hubner, Uncle Peter Kochan, Uncle Patrick Doyle, his cousins Patrick O'Flaherty, Keely (Les) Lindhout and Gerrit and Marlee, and so many amazing friends.
Matthew was predeceased by his grandma Marie Kochan and his Aunty Anita O'Flaherty.
Matthew was born May 9, 1993 in New Westminster and was raised in Chilliwack. He attended Little Mountain Elementary, and graduated from Chilliwack Senior Secondary in 2011. As a youth he enjoyed the outdoors and had many adventures within the scouting community, the friendships he made would become lifelong.
At the age of 10, Matt discovered music and this became his passion in life. He was an avid guitar player and songwriter. He was a member of many bands and considered his band mates family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Chilliwack Church of God, 45814 Lewis Avenue, Chilliwack BC.
A beautiful, gentle soul was taken much too soon! Matthew will live on through his music and in the hearts of everyone he touched.
