Matthew Ross Brown


It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Matthew Ross Brown on January 29, 2017 in Quartzsite, Arizona doing what he loved, travelling in his motorhome. Matthew Ross Brown was born in Windsor, Ontario on October 7, 1946. He was predeceased by his mom, dad and brother. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of 43 years, sons Richard and Matthew, his daughter Pamela, son-in-law Tom, grandchildren Marlei, Wade, Justin, Robyn and Ethan, three sisters Penny, Heather and Candy, numerous nieces & nephews and a large extended family. Matthew served in the Canadian Military from 1962 -1981, with 2 PPCLI and Military Police after being transferred to Chilliwack, British Columbia, he realized he wanted to raise his children in this beautiful city and retired from the military. He then spent from 1981-2002 working for Correctional Services of Canada. He spent his life dedicated in service to our country. Matthew Brown's service is to be held at St Mary's Church 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack on March 11, 2017 at 11:00 am, followed by a Legion service and tea at the Vedder Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 280, 5661 Vedder Road, from 1:00 - 3:30 pm.
