August 8, 1942 - September 6, 2020
Maryann was born on August 8th, 1942 in the township of Sandwich, a suburb of Windsor Ont.
She moved with her daughter Kelly to Chilliwack BC in 1963 to be closer to her sister. In 1964 she met Tom Rutledge and they were married in August 1965.
Maryann and Tom raised three (3) children. Maryann worked full time at Sears from the time the doors opened in 1975 until she retired in 1995. She was actively involved with the Social committee organizing events and outings.
After retiring Tom and Maryann moved to 108 Mile Ranch, joining the 100 Mile House and District Heritage Society, where Maryann worked for the 108 Mile Heritage site doing the booking keeping.
They also hosted the annual First of July celebrations for the whole district. Both Tom and Maryann earned "Citizen of the Year Award" for both 108 and 100 Mile House in 2007 and again in 2012.
Tom and Maryann loved travelling throughout Canada in their RV. In 2014 Tom and Maryann decided to move back to Chilliwack to be closer to family.
Maryann unexpectedly passed away at her home in Sardis on September 6th, 2020. Maryann is per-deceased by her husband Tom and her sister Barb (Bill). She is survived by her daughter Kelly Gallant, son's Tom Rutledge (Karen) and Todd Rutledge (Maureen) and her grandchildren Desiree and Greg. She is also survived by her older brother Paul Clark and his family.
A small family service was held at the Yarrow Cemetery on September 17, 2020.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
