Mary Olga Scott. (Nov. 30, 1922- Jan. 22, 2012) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend at Cascade Lodge in Chilliwack.
Olga was born near Brampton, Cumbria, England. She later married John (Jackie) Scott and settled in Armathwaite, Cumbria, England, until their retirement when they came to Chilliwack in 1988, to be near their family. They settled and fell in love with thier new lives in the Fraser Valley. Olga was a quiet caring lady, dealing with life in a gentle way, always having lots of love to give. She was always there to give a helping hand or offer a little friendly advice. Sadly Olga had to struggle with cancer these past few months. Olga was predeceased by her husband, Jackie; sisters: Rita and Ada (England); and her son-in-law Richard (Beaty)
She is survived by her daughter Maureen (Beaty); son, Kenneth (England); grandchildren: Joe, Jonathan and Dominic (Beaty); and her siblings in England Norah, Edna , Joe, David and James .
Many thanks to John and Dorothy Beaty, for always being there for Mam. The family would like to thank Dr. T Hopkins for his years of care and the first floor staff at Cascade Lodge for their support and professionalism shown with such dignity.
Family and close friends will be gathering at the BC Legion Cemetery, Little Mountain, Chilliwack for a celebration of her life with Father Dale Yardy and Reverend Larry
Adkins from St John’s Anglican Church.
Mam you will always be in our hearts and remembered with love.
