Mary Mildred Ross passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2002 at Chilliwack General Hospital’s Extended Care Unit, at the age of 84 years. She was born September 12, 1918 in Medicine Hat, Alta.
Millie is survived by her son Raymond Ross; grandsons, Dean (Cindy), and Blaine (Angela); great-grandson Cole; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Bert Brown; and nephew Neil Brown; as well as many other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Vick Ross; parents, Bertha and Walter Kelly; and brothers, Richard and Clarence Kelly.
Millie worked in the food services industry, retiring from the Janitorial Custodian Department of UBC. She moved from Vancouver to Agassiz in the early 1980s. After the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease, Millie moved to Parkholm Lodge in Chilliwack.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at St. Mary’s Church in Chilliwack, Father Jack Dias officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Parkholm Lodge and Chilliwack General Hospital’s Extended Care Unit, and Millie’s companion Helen Parry for their kindness and devotion to her care.
