Mary Magdeline Mehr passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Valleyhaven on March 9, 2006 at the age of 90 years. She was born in Lake Lenore Saskatchewan on July 6, 1915 and lived in the Harrison-Agassiz area for 34 years.
Mary worked in the Lanigan Hotel Restaurant for years and ran her own café in Annahiem, Sask. Mom loved her sports including soft ball and curling and loved her gardening. She belonged to the CWL for many years. Mom also enjoyed family camping and fishing trips.
Mary is survived by her children; Jerome (Kathy), Ethel (Linus), Robert (Alice), Lambert (Lila) Eugene (Sharon) and Shirley (Gary), and her ex daughter-in-law Dolores. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, daughter-in-law Bernice and eleven brothers and one sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at 1:00 with Father Eugenio Aloisio Celebrant. Donations may be made to the B.C. Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Valleyhaven Recreation Fund.
