Mary (Louise) Harder late of Chilliwack, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2002 at the age of 86 years.
She was born April 18, 1916 in Fairholme, Sask. and she had lived in this area for over 20 years.
Louise worked as a cook for many years in Mission, Lac La Hache, and Salmon Arm. Upon retirement she moved to Chilliwack, where she enjoyed gardening, knitting, embroidery and crocheting. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home, Chilliwack.
Louise is survived by her two sons, Ben (Doris) of Penhold, Alta., and Walt (Virginia) of Creston; two daughters, Irene Harder and Lorraine McConnell of Chilliwack. 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry in 1987; great-granddaughter Erin Pennington in 2000; and son-in-law Allen McConnell in 2000.
