Mary passed away at the Bradley Center after a long struggle with Lewy Body Dementia.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Charlie Young; daughter June (Rick) Deeley of Summerland B.C.; one granddaughter Ann (Frank) Koenig and two great-grandchildren Amy (8) and Emma (10) from Burlington Ontario.

Mary was predeceased by her brother Frank of Glasgow Scotland.

Mary was born in Glasgow and began working as a professional pianist at 15 years of age.

She met Charlie through her music and has been entertaining for 60+ years.

Mom and Dad immigrated to Canada in 1955 as dad joined the Canadian Army as the member of the R.C.E. band.

Mom could not stay away from the piano and had an illustrious career at the Harrison Hot Springs Hotel in the Copper Room for 30 years. The Copper piano that mom played is on display in the lobby of the hotel.

Mary devoted her music after retirement to the Rotary Club of Chilliwack of which she is a permanent honourary member.
