It is with great sadness and loss that we announce the passing of “Mary” on November 19, 2005 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Mary was born July 5, 1918 in Oyen, Alberta. Her husband, Peter McGirr and her daughter, Loraine Senez, predeceased her.
She is survived by her children: Vona (Ernie) of Vanderhoof and Jack (Babe) McEwen of Prince George. She will also be missed by her 9 grandchildren: Dennis (Donna Reynolds) Moe, Donny (Lynn) Moe, Brenda (Delbert) Peterson, Cheryl (Chris) Heidt, David (Patricia) Senez, Diana (Ross) Brown, Darlene (Micheal) Fitzgerald, Marvin (Tanya) McEwen and Melanie (Robert) Williamson and her 17 great-grandchildren: Daryl, Kenneth, Terry, Derrick, Christopher, Natasha, Kristopher, Johnathan, Jacqueline, Roxanne, Brandon, Jarrett, Coral, Caiomyn, Jennifer, Bailey and Cassidy.
Those wishing to say good bye are welcome to join the family at Henderson’s Funeral Chapel on Victoria Street in Chilliwack on Saturday, November 26th, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Kevin Pentland officiating. Interment at the Royal Canadian Legion Cemetery. A memorial tea will follow at the Lynwood Seniors Residence at 9168 Corbould at 3:30 p.m.
A special thanks to Dr. Klassen, the nurses and staff at Chilliwack General Hospital and the staff of the Lynwood for their support, patience and caring over the past months.
