(nee Titilah)

Nov. 10, 1922 - June 11, 2010

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Mary Berg in the Bevan Lodge, Abbotsford on Friday, June 11, 2010. Mary was born on the family farm near Ormiston, Saskatchewan before the family moved to Crane Valley, Saskatchewan in 1925.

Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Elmer Berg, in 1998. Mary is survived by her three children: Carol (Harold) Caine of Calgary, Alberta, Roy (Linda) Berg of Mission, B.C., Maryann (Don) Nicholson of Chilliwack, B.C., grandchildren: Tom Raycove, Robi (Brian) Thompson, Kimberly (Peter) Hutchinson, David (Rosalene) Berg, Geordy (Ilana) Mullin and five great-grandchildren.

Mary loved to dance, play golf, crochet, and participate in a wide variety of activities. She was known for her sense of humour and willingness to have fun, and if someone needed to give a speech in front of a crowd she was always willing.

She was actively involved in many organizations including a term as president of the Senior Vets Association of Chilliwack. While those activities were important to her, her family and friends were the most important. Mary will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Thank you to all of the staff at Bevan Lodge and Birchwood for their help and support.

A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held in the Senior Vet’s hall in Chilliwack on June 21 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
