BARBER(Bouthot) Mary Sarah (nee Bradley).Feb. 21 1922 to Jan. 18, 2013. It is with sadness in our heart, we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Great-great-grandmother, and Friend, Mary Sarah.
After a brave battle with illness, Mary passed away at the age of 90. Mary was predeceased by her parents Thressa and Joe Bradley; and her siblings: Bill, Bob, Everett, Agnes, Frank, Mae and Joe. Mary was also predeceased by her first husband of 26 years and father of her children, Lucien Bouthot (Cap); and her second husband of 21 years, Archie Barber. Mary is survived by Gina (Erik), Eva, Lou (Laura) Bill (Debbie) Tres (Chester), Brad (Wanda) and Brian (Cathy) along with 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, many nieces, nephews, step- children, step-grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law. To some she was known as Mother Mary for the way she welcomed people into her home and heart. Mary lived most of her life in Coquitlam, Surrey and Chilliwack. In recent years she lived at the Cottonwood senior complex and Cascades Assisted Living. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Cascade Assisted Living and Cascade Hospice for what you do every day. Thank you Dr. Lynch for the wonderful care and support you provided to our Mom.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to BC Lung Association. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on February 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home, Chilliwack.
