With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, opa and great opa. He leaves to mourn, his wife of 55 years, Gysbertje (nee Van Essen); his children, Gerrie (Dino) Pavan, and Mary (Esio) D’Arsie; grandchildren, Andy, Genny, Darren, Anita, Mike, Serena, and Aaran; great-grandchildren, Krystal, Branden, Jessie, and Jammie; older brother Albert; sisters, Efje, Martha, and Gerda; sister-in-law Geurtje (nee van Veller); and many nieces, nephews, and other family members in Holland.

Mr. Morren was predeceased by brother Steven in 1943; father Frank in 1975; brother Teunis in 1983; mother Gerritje (nee Mastenbroek) in 1986; and brother Evert in 1988.

The Morren family immigrated to Canada in 1957. They made their home in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, where Mr. Morren worked at the Somas Mill until his retirement. Several years after retiring, they moved to Chilliwack where they have lived for 13 years.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, 2002 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002 at Bethel Netherlands Reformed Congregation, Rev. Pieter van Ruitenburg officiating. Interment will follow at Chilliwack Cemeteries on Little Mountain.

No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
