Martha EWERT

November 20, 2002

Martha Ewert peacefully went home to be with her Lord on November 20, 2002 at the age of 76. She was born in Miroslaw, Poland on April 10, 1926. She and her husband immigrated to Canada in 1948, and she resided in Chilliwack for the past 45 years. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. George Ewert.

She is survived by her loving children, Ken (Margitta) Ewert, Shirley Ewert, Ingrid (Bernie) Tepper, and Harold Ewert; grandchildren, Barb Everdene, Shareen (Jeremy) Harder, and Sarah Tepper; brothers, John (Lydia) Rebman, Anton (Emma) Rebman, and Otto (Agnes) Rebman; sister Caroline Konrad; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was deeply devoted to God and is loved and honoured as a praying mother. She lived life unselfishly for her family and gave much of herself for the needs of others. She was a faithful member of Central Pentecostal Assembly and her presence will be greatly missed!

After her diagnosis of cancer almost two years ago, she courageously faced the future entrusting herself to a God who does all things well. It was a special time in her life of experiencing new joys in her relationship with her Lord, delighting herself in His creation in her garden, and having meaningful times with her family. Thank you Mom, for all the love that you’ve shown to us and the faithful example you’ve been. You will be very deeply missed! A viewing will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 from 3-5 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Central Pentecostal Assembly, 9535 Williams St., Chilliwack on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at 1 p.m.

Memorial donations will be designated to WorldServe Ministries for Bibles to China.
