December 5, 1948 - September 21, 2019
Martha Ann was born December 5, 1948 in Vancouver. She passed away Saturday September 21, 2019 in Chilliwack, B.C. Her Grandma said she was
as small as a Penny when she was born and it stuck.
At age 9 in 1959 Penny survived Open Heart surgery at Vancouver General and received her first Heart Pacemaker at age 13. Penny was told she
should never have children. She could not get a Drivers Licence until she was 30, for fear she would have a heart attack while driving.
She never let these things slow her down. I officially met Penny when we were 19 or 20 and have been together through thick and thin, travelled to
many places such as Hawaii, many places in Mexico, Isla Mujeres, Merida, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Mazatlan, Guaymas and La Paz, Belize, Puerto
Rico, Trinidad and Tobago plus lots of trips up and down the west coast. Our fav spot is Long Beach,Washington for the International Kite festivities.
Penny was allowed to get a Driver's Lic. when she turned 30. She went out and bought a 1964 Ford Mustang. She drove it for about 5 years when
we decided it was time to get a car more suitable for transporting a baby. Tami Lynn was born June 18, 1984. 30 years later on June 27, 2014 Mason
our grandson arrived followed 5 years later on June 11, 2019 by Olivia our Granddaughter.
Penny also spent over 30 years working for C.I.B.C.
Our family misses her dearly.
We are planning a Memorial Service for Penny in the Spring of 2020.
