August 18, 1934 - September 22, 2020
Marjory was born 18 August 1934 and passed 22 September 2020 at age 86.
Marge was a loving person, tough as a mom needs to be, but full of care for those around her.
Growing up on the west side of Vancouver she finished school at Point Grey High School, then worked in Vancouver before going on a 'working holiday' to England.
Returning after a year or so abroad she eventually married Ellesmere 'Ells' Hugh and moved to 100 Mile House where he lived and worked at the time.
There they began to raise a family. Two sons were born while they were there (Blake and Daryl), a third son (Craig) born when they moved to Chilliwack then a daughter (Nadia) and a fourth son (Jason). The children kept her busy, as did other activities which she loved such as church, where she was active at all levels, and singing with the Sweet Adelines.
In later years when visiting you could always count on being greeted with a smile, a hug and a chocolate coated peanut butter ball.
She is survived by her husband Ellesmere, 5 children Blake Hugh (Michiyo), Daryl Hugh (Dayna), Craig Hugh (Joanne), Nadia Hugh, Jason Hugh (Amy) and 5 grandchildren (Clinton, Shea, Dylan, Julia and Owen), her younger brother David Gatrell and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret 'Peg' Francis.
She will be missed, but she will always be in our hearts.
