Born October 17th, 1923 in Armstrong, BC to Dr. Arnold and Edith Francis, passed away peacefully in Edmonton, AB on June 16, 2012.
Marjorie graduated from St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver in 1946 and had a wonderful career as a Registered Nurse. She retired from Chilliwack General Hospital as Head Nurse in the OR. Her volunteer work with the United Church, sense of humour and love of life endeared her to many people in the Chilliwack community.
Marj leaves to honour her memory, her husband Croydon (Roy), retired RCMP; her son Donald and caring daughter-in-law, Laurette; daughter, Beverley (Rob); granddaughter, Melissa; great-granddaughter, Taryn; great-great-grandson, Chase; grandson, Matthew; great-granddaughter, Caydence; brother, Alan; many nephews, great-nephews and nieces.
There will be a private family service held in Edmonton. Those who wish may send a card to Roy at 168 – 4480 McRae Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta T5E 0Y5. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Dementia Action Network would be appreciated.
