Gisele Rollheiser, age 45, died on Monday, Dec. 30, 2002 at Port Alberni, in a motor vehicle accident. She was born May 14, 1957 in Victoria to a military family.
Gisele grew up in Europe and Eastern Canada and came to Chilliwack with her family in 1970. She graduated from Sardis Senior Secondary School in 1975. She was married in 1982 and lived in the Kootenays until 1994 when she and her sons moved to Port Alberni.
She is survived by her teenage sons, Andrew and Benjamin of Port Alberni; her mother Rosalea and step-father, Peter Warkentin of Chilliwack; sister Venetia (Len) Cherry of Port Alberni; step-sister Shirley (Pat) Gallichan of Surrey; step-brother Ken Warkentin of Winnipeg, Man.; former sister-in-law Teresa (Steve) Schoenfelder of Rosedale; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
Gisele was predeceased by her father Eugene Lajeunesse in 1998; brother Raymond Lajeunesse in 1997; nephew Edwin Lajeunesse in 2001; and step-sister Darlene Matthews in 1989.
A Celebration of Life and memorial tea was held in Port Alberni on Monday, Jan. 6, 2003.
