June 7, 1944 - September 2, 2024

It is with profound heartbreak and an unending sense of a forever loss that we share the death of Marian Dorothy Price, on September 2, 2024, at Chilliwack General Hospital. Marian will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Al Price, and their two daughters, Trischa Buhler (Trevor) and Stephanie Price, her grandchildren Nicholas Ratcliffe (Jamie Castle) and Noah Buhler (Aren Doherty), and great-granddaughter Sage Castle She is further survived by her sisters Joan Murray and Jeraldine Mottl, brother Albert (Sharol), step-sister Linda Prutton; siblings-in-law Dave and Bonnie Price, Brian Price, Sandi and Phil Jensen, Collen and Ken Nelson; and nieces and nephews Karl Mottl (Karen), Charles Mottl, Aaron Murray (Diane), John Prutton, James Jensen (Tammy), Jennifer Jensen, Ashley Nelson (Mat), and Kenneth Jr. (Carli); and numerous great-niblings who will all miss her greatly.

She was predeceased by her father and step-mother, Jerry and Joan Mottl, her mother Dorothy Mottl, parents-in-law Marie and Arthur Price, niece Rachel Murray, and nephew Michael Mottl.

Marian was a kind, gentle soul: a devoted and loving wife, who enjoyed world travel with Al and visited many different countries together. For over fifty-five years, they were inseparable. She and Al made many friends in Chilliwack and abroad and loved spending time with them, either going on cruises and road trips, or card games and wine at home. Many became close family friends and will feel her loss acutely.

Marian was also a caring, loving and understanding mother who was selfless in raising her daughters and actively involved in providing assistance, love, and support to them and their families as they raised their sons. She passed on her love of reading and crafting to them and was fiercely proud of all of them.

Marian worked at Sears Chilliwack when they first moved to Chilliwack in 1977, as well as many financial institutions in Chilliwack: Bank of Montreal, Toronto Dominion, Scotiabank, and VanCity before she retired in 1997. As a bank teller, she was an attentive listener and prided herself on providing quality customer service with her friendly smile to everyone who came to her wicket, and she received many accolades and recognition during her time at each bank.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 22, 2024, from 12-4pm at the Lions Club Hall at 9233 Main St in Chilliwack. Marian valued kindness and believed in love. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a local not-for-profit that shares these values.
