Maria (La La) passed away on June 9, 2006 at her daughter’s home in Chilliwack at age 60 years. She was born November 10, 1945 at Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, BC.
Maria is survived by her son, Vincent Mathews (Lisa Payne); daughter, Carrie Mathews (Adam Mussell); grandchildren Dharma and Sidney Mussell, brothers and sisters, Millie Zaharek, Rose Hutton, Milan Ilich (Maureen), Olga Ilich, Mirko Ilich (Joan), Milo Ilich, Danny Ilich, Bobby Ilich, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Vincent Mathews; parents, Mitar and Cmyliana Ilich and brother, Tommy Ilich.
Mom will be so dearly missed by her children, Vince and Carrie. She meant the world to us. She worked so hard her entire life. She always gave, but never asked for anything in return. We can only hope that we can have as much strength as she had portrayed throughout her life, especially the last few months.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Tzeachten Hall at 45855 Promontory Rd, Chilliwack, BC.
