Maria Gerarda Gouwenberg, late of Agassiz, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at age 81 years. She was predeceased by her husband Jacobus Tetteroo; son Peter Tetteroo; daughter Bernadette Tetteroo; great-grandson Seth Folkerts; and son-in-law Gary Sinclair.
Maria is survived by her husband Gerard; daughters, Hellen Proulx of Chilliwack, Maryanne (Harry) Folkerts of Lacombe, Alta., Joan (Jim) Davidson of Enderby, Anita (Jake) Kobes of Sardis, Anna Lee of Aldergrove, and Mary (Robin) Reimer of Abbotsford; sons, Henry (Anna) Gouwenberg of Agassiz, and Nick Gouwenberg of Vancouver; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and family members in Holland.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 at 10 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilliwack. Father Jack Diaz and Father D.D. MacDonald concelebrated the Mass. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sardis.
