Jun 8, 1939 - Apr 7, 2018
It is with both sadness and gratitude we announce that our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister has gone home to be with the Lord where there is neither suffering or tears.

Margery was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on June 8, 1939 and lived her early life there. She spent her high school years in Lethbridge, Alberta, then back to Regina where she met the love of her life, Ian McAra. They started their life together in Edmonton and lived a few years in Grande Prairie, Alberta. They settled in Chilliwack in 1967, where for many years Marge was a 'city girl turned farm wife'. Marge was active in 4H when her boys were young, later held a leadership role in Valley Women's Network through her business, McAra Promotions, and was a long-time active member of Broadway Church.

Survived by her husband Ian; sons Michael, Gordon (Debbie) and Glen (Lori); 9 grandchildren; an extended family of 6 great-grandchildren and her sister, Rusty Anderson.

Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Chilliwack General Hospital and the caring home care workers who helped at home during the past months.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Broadway Church at the corner of Broadway and Maple in Chilliwack on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at 1:00 pm.

Donations in Margery's honour may be made to a charity of choice.
